The thing is, I live in western Washington. AT SEA LEVEL. It rarely snows here in the wintertime, and it's supposed to be about 65 in the daytime by now!

Ah, we had one of those a few days ago.
I thought it was beautiful.
I'm not really much for the Spring/Summer months... too hot, and too much yard work.
Gonna move to the North Pole one of these days.

Don't worry, the government is doing everything in it's power to deny the theory of global warming as well as the resulting shift in seasons.
On a more serious note, what would a year be without having snow ? When I was a kid it used to snow practically every year and bang around the winter holidays.

Last week it did a moderate hail/light snow here. Then it was in the 40's for the next couple days. I was thinking is this April or are we still stuck in winter.

Would you kill me if yesterday I told you we broke a record high with a temperature of 87 Fahrenheit?

actually they're doing their utmost to exploit the financial incentive to pander to the global warming zealots, whilst ignoring the mounting evidence that this whole global warming debacle is an elaborate, easily refutable con-job

No no no no no no. Why does every thread moderately related to temperature have to lapse into one of these debates! :(.

Temperature is way better now. It's up to 17 degrees celcius (8-10 in the morning).
I think winter has come to an end, and spring is taking over... finally...

Perhaps you're right and perhaps there are two lobbies.

Eugene, damn Angel, and that's quite a ways south of here. I thought after the last round of cold weather at the end of March we were finally heading into springtime for reals. So maybe NOW things will warm up? plz? :p

I'm not really saying there's a debate or two lobbies. I don't see much opposition to all the scampering going on about finding alternative fuels, more regulations, etc. I'm telling you, regardless of whether something is true or not, the politicians will find a way to pork barrel it up, and introduce policies that do virtually nothing to actually solve a purported problem.

I understand where you're coming from. Let's leave things at that shall we and leave the original poster to animate his topic about the weather. I'll just add that I understand the political nonsense behind the debate as I get double helpings of that where I live now.

Someone's going to lose a roof.
Iowa had snow 2 weeks ago. Not as much as you though, pine. Weird to see snow in April. I do remember a blizzard cancelling Halloween in Omaha, NE. Back in 1992, I think it was.

When I was stationed in Kansas, it often got too cold to snow. Once, with windchill, it was -55 degrees.
