Chrono Trigger is the only rpg I've ever played second to Dragon Warrior. So far I'm enjoying it and discovered a lot of life meaning in the story.
For example

You see? I bet most of you didn't know that.
Chrono Trigger is a tome of valuable knowledge that should be passed down through generations; taught in schools, churches, shared with everyone. I'm still playing through. The plot is somewhat predictable but years of recycling ideas has probably worn on me which I'm pretty sure it was less transparent in it's time. I'll make another update when I'm done if anyone cares to learn some more valuable life lessons.

Farting is the Magical power of the ass.

It doesn't use magic. It is magic.

I'm stuck at the floating castle place, I never was very good at finishing long arse Jrpgs.

Chrono Trigger is the first RPG I was able to dominate the final boss by playing through the game and only doing the bare minimum of grinding or exploring.

Very excellent game.

Ahhh yes Chrono Trigger. Its definetly one of the better RPG's out there. You could pretty much play the game any way you wanted to. I actually attempted to try and beat Lavos the first chance you get. Didnt fare to well, but I hear it is possible. Eventually I will play through it again to get the remaining 12 or so endings that I missed.

Oh yeah and Luca giving some robo head at the end was just classic

Didnt fare to well, but I hear it is possible.

That's because on your second play through you get to keep you gear or level or something to that extent. :p

Chrono Trigger rules. I love that RPG, and it's one of a select few I can claim I enjoyed beating over and over again.

Others in this category include Valkyrie Profile 1, Shadow Hearts 1, and (of course) Chrono Cross.

Yeah for RPG's the SNES was all about Chrono Trigger and FF6

Secret of Mana and Earthbound were great too.

Yeah, almost forgot about those. Earthbound in particular was fun.

I also really got a kick out of Mario RPG :P

What about Secret of Evermore? :( Underrated imo.

If I were to make a top 20 games of all time, that would definetly be in my list.

Don't forget, Chrono Trigger has tons of replay value. There's 13 different endings depending on when you fight Lavos and how.

SPOILER! This details all the endings if you don't feel like playing the game 13 times:

Secret of Evermore was a great game. The reason is because we (meaning Europe and the USA) got Evermore, while Japan got Seiken Densetsu 3 (Secret of Mana 2.) SD3 was so much better than Evermore it's not even funny. That is why Evermore was underrated.
