I have the tendency to download infamous frag vids and watch them OVER and OVER again for strategies. Is this teh ghey?

Yes. Frag videos highlight random bits of "in the zone"-ness and luck. Demos are useful for gleaning tactics/strategies. In theory. Spectating can help too, but in the end, anything that's not you in there actually playing probably doesn't help much.
Alright. Well, I always get super-pumped after watching one and normally do well. Maybe that's why I keep watching...
Mindset has a lot to do with performance, so it might help on that front. But watching others do what they do won't help you. Otherwise I could watch videos of people playing guitar and get better.
