So I figured that DynamicPhysicsVolumes could be modified or toggled by Kismet but I can't seem to find a way to change any of the variables. I've tried adding the object itself into kismet. Anyone have any insight into this?

Toggle action and link the Object to the Toggle.
At least I'm pretty sure that's how it was done. I remember at one point having to add a special volume variable/object type in Kismet and then associating the volume with that, but I'm not sure if you still have to do that.
The Toggle will only change certain variables. With PhysicsVolumes I believe PainCausing is toggled. With a regular Blocking Volume, the collision is changed.
If you need to swap specific properties, it may help to make the volume dynamic and animate it with Matinee to swap positions instantly.

I'm trying to create a reverse gravity trap for people caught outside at certain intervals in my map, it will basically throw the players upward into a killzone after 5-10 second warning to get inside. If it only toggles causepain effect on the dynamicphysicsvolume that won't work... I'll try that and the gravity volume when I get home tonight

Toggling a gravity volume did the trick, thanks a bunch!
