Personally, it's my first forae into the SSBB series and I can't wait. It looks like good and looks to have a ton of fun and many hours of play with it.

I played the original on the N64 quite a bit. Very nice, and really the only fighting game(s) I think are worth a damn. Me and my bud had epic Fox vs. Fox battles back in the day.

Picked mine up at midnight as well. Recommendation for those picking it up later, play with the gamecube controller or if you have to with the classic controller. It makes a world of difference. Anywho this game is going to suck so many hours out of my day its not even funny.

The new characters look so badass, the only reason I bought a Wii is for this game, No More Heroes and Mario Galaxy (until now, but I bought a few other games). I can't wait to get it, it will f*cking slay. Been playing it on Gamecube for years and played it on the N64 at first. Best games ever to play with a large number of people.
Anyways, I should be getting mine soon enough, hopefully tomorrow. I can't wait.. I already know I will waste so much time on it.. plus I have 4 Gamecube controllers. \m/

For sure a 9.5/10.

The game is amazing so far. The graphics are very nice. The characters are goregeous. The backgrounds/levels are just amazing. Litterally amazing. The whole game is just awesome.

It's pretty fun and right now I'm mostly going through the single player adventure, trying to snatch a decent portion of the unlockables. There's also quite a bit of CGI sequences here, which is surprisingly. I half-expected just some intro and outro bits, not a minute or two in between each stage.

But the most surprisingly thing about SSBB so far? Samus talks. Like, actual lines of English in a seductive tone. It's pretty wierd.

I've gotten to play a lot of the singleplayer and the multiplayer for the entire day. I've unlocked all but 4 of the characters (singleplayer mode makes this a lot easier than Melee).

Wow is all I can say. Excellent, excellent game. With the exception of some cheap shots in the Subspace Emissary mode :p

One gripe I do have and this is seriously pissing me off is Event #14, the one where you have to bloom 6 pikmin. I swear to god it is either impossible or I am doing it all wrong. I cant get more than 3 to bloom and then the computer just turns on the "I win" button and knocks me out. Anyone have any advice?

Hell yes! It's crazy that they haven't ever produced a portable Smash Bros game. It'd be like printing money.

Anyway, Big N still hasn't given us Euro folks a release date for SSBM, but if it does come out sometime in May or June like the rumours suggest, I'll probably pick up a Wii, SSBM and a couple of other games then. I hear that. I really like the remixed airship theme and main themes for zelda. Nintendo needs to take a hint from Hal Labs and do orchestrated music for the next zelda game. It will make the experience so much better

Ill second your Toon Link is near-impossible and raise you a he is beatable with luck +30. Seriously he hit a random bomb and thats the only way I beat him. Good news is he is my fav character to use and have gotten pretty decent with him, dare I say even better than his adult self. Oh and the boss battles(including Tabuu) become super easy. Just jump and down A them to death to see what I mean ;)

Finally beat all 20 events.

I think it took me over 20 tries to beat the "Zelda wants to climb a waterfall" event. I didn't realize for awhile that you have to actually wait until the peak of your first jump, to get your second jump in.

Beat the 10 man brawl. I tried the 100 man brawl a few times. The last time I tried it, I got down to 10 guys left and they kept kicking me off the ****ing arena.

I tried that last one too. The "no powerups" or whatever brawl. I can't last 10 seconds in that one. Maybe latter.

Also just figured out how to use the bat (press 1 and 2). I was double or tripple tapping forward and then 1. It only worked 3 times out of 30. Then I finally figured it out.

Wish I didn't have to work this weekend. I would probably get the "play 100 hours of brawl" trophy.

The three rings are the damage causers of the move, so do a dodge roll right before those things hit you.

This game is great, I've been a fan of this series since the first one on N64 and they've done a great job staying true to that winning formula, simple gameplay but suprisingly deep when you really get into it. I'm not a huge fan of some of the new characters, I wish they brought more new stuff to the table. Meta Knight is great but I still play with Captain Falcon.

I think it's pretty strange that there's no functionality for the wiimote as a pointer, but you can use it to perfrom smash moves which is pretty cool.

Want to know if a stage in Subspace Emissary is completely looted/cleared/explored? Check the little green flag on the stage. If there is a green flag on the stage, that means you have not completely explored it for 100%.

So a green flag means I have not completed everything? Confusing since the colorful crown-thing looks like it means "battle." It says I have completed 85%, so to finish the 15% I have to go through the Green flags and explore everything?

BTW How many events are there total? Ive unlocked 41 but the "final battle" (#41) doesn't seem like a final battle.

Don't forget that after you beat the adventure mode you can go back to three specific levels to unlock three different characters,
Jigglypuff in the swamp level, Toon Link in the Forest level, and Wolf in the Ruins level
so that may bugger up your 100% completion rating.
