The overclocking thread

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. 3.2GHz should be a doddle with an average motherboard and stock cooling. Decent air cooling you have a fair chance of getting 3.6GHz if it is an ok stepping. Any more than that though and your needing a very nice chip, or much better cooling.

The increase in voltage I needed to go from prime stable at 3.6 to booting at 3.825 was a surprise to me :eek:

Here's what i'm presently running 24/7:

Old motherboard holds things back, but it works.
