Just watched the Prey preview on Gamespot Link (http://www.gamespot.com/e3/e3story.html?sid=6149389&pid=928189)
Coming out this summer on PC. The gameplay looks awesome and inventive. According to the interview they said it will have 8 player DM. A DM in environments like that should prove to be a lot of fun.

The designers have even used the portal tech to devise some devilish puzzles, such as a portal maze where you'll see yourself running ahead of your perspective if you're going the wrong way.
This is why I miss the WarpZones that actually worked in UT.

WarZones in UT work a bit different than Prey's. Sure thing that they could use it for UT2007.

Heh, I remember Prey being on 3D Realms' website as a game that was coming up, next to Duke Nukem and Max Payne. I guess that doesn't say much for Duke Nukem: Forever's release date. :p I'm definetly looking forward to Prey, though.

The graphics may have evolved, but the AI and enemy-placement still appear to be nothing more fancy than real "old-skool" Doom-style grunts.
I expect those portals to be used as a new 'excuse' to spawn enemies behind you.

Well, when you get right down to it all Prey is is a standard run of the mill FPS. You go around shooting monsters and "solving" puzzles.

BUT, the concepts they use in this game are cool as hell and inventive. Take the one scene in the video where the guy looks at that sphere (planet) inside the glass case. He goes through a portal then he's on that planet when a huge monster comes in and looks through the glass at him. Bending reality. Cool!
