Yet another question offered to the great map gurus ;)

I am stumped.

I have a screenshot so that it might help what im trying to achieve. Hopefully its possible.

I would like to have a corner of a room diagonally cut off. Then i would like to have a door leading between the original room and the new room. The new room will have a lift in it and ive seen plenty of tuts for lifts.

The question is, how do i go about adding this diagonal wall and then getting the door to go through it.

Ive tried "adding" the diagonal wall in with a cube then converting the door to a brush and subtracting but that didnt quite work.

Anyways here the screeny:

then converting the door to a brush and subtracting but that didnt quite work.If you're talking about the static mesh, never, ever convert one to a brush. Just add the brush as you have it there, then make a smaller one to subtract for the door.

Cut the corner off with Brush Clipping.

In such a cases I use clipping also, but brushes tend to **** themselfs up after a few clipping (even completly detached faces can occure). But this ona clip... no problem I think. But I'll wait for some pro-designer's opinion. ;-)
