Ive downloaded a pack of static meshes for UT2004. After moving the files to the appropriate directories I can add them to my maps but when I playtest I get "Failed to load package X" etc.

Ive looked at edit packages in the INIs, I might not be doing the right thing but is there a place I can tell the editor to recognise theres new packages to load?

Yes there is a place to tell UED that but no you dont need it for simple staticmeshes.

If they can be opened in UED but dont show up in game you might have placed the in the wrong folder or the package names might not be unique or contain other types of problems like spaces in the name.
