View Full Version : rotating terrain texture layers...

howdy!

for my latest onslaught map i've created a 256x256 terrain. i've already done rotational symmetry with the heightmap via g16ed. now i am left confused as to how to do the same with all of its texture layers - i can export in to four filetypes, all of which are completely grey. i am guessing that there is some alpha layer that i am unable to see when i open it; all i have is paint shop pro - is photoshop necessary for doing this, or can i scrape by with PSP?

If you dont know what it is let alone the answer why do you even reply then ?

You must export the terrain layers as tga. The stuff indeed is in the alpha layer, the diffuse just looks gray for that reason
Tga is the only thing that seriously supports alpha so you really have to export as tga and when you open it in psp or ps then you should be able to see the alpha layer, rotate it and there you go, done
I dont have psp but it should be able to open tga's with alpha..
