I am working to convert some maps from Athena Sword to RavenShield.

When I open the maps in the Editor (v2.x) all the textures and static meshes are black..

Is there some property setting that causes this??

I am in the TEXTURE (non light view) mode... I even tried COPY to a Static Mesh and PASTE into a whole new map. Same effect.

That's what makes me think it is a Property issue..

Yea, and that looks fine.. I mean, I can take a diff texture and apply it and it looks normal..

Another wierd thing is when I look at a map texture in the Texture Browser, even there, all the textures are black..

static meshes still show light even in the non-light mode you should add a zoneinfo set its zoneinfo>>ambiant brightness to about 100 and rebuild (you should decrease this once you start adding lighting to about 10)

OK I'll give that a shot.. But I think it's an intentional setting.

Even looking at the Static Meshes in the browser, they are all black as well.

That sounds wierd - if the textures were not found they would come up with the default bubbles

Try reapplying the textures in the SM browser

Well, all the map's textures are all black, so applying them to the black SM doesn't show me anything.

But I can apply other textures to the Map's SMs and they show up fine..

This is really wierd...

The only textures that show up within the map are the Zone Portal and Collision textures.

All the pathnodes and ladder actors and all that show up.

But all the textures and all the SMs are solid black.
