I've seen alot of you recommend the SENNHEISER brand of headsets. I have (I think) bigger ears than most common folk, so I need a good comfortable headset with a good mic too. Price is no matter.
This is what I've had. The Altec Lansing AHS502I headset with mic. http://www.alteclansing.com/product_details.asp?pID=AHS502I
They weren't all the comfortable either.

You will love these. (http://www.icemat.com/products/icematsiberia/icemat_siberia_headset)
I've got largish ears and glasses, and they are the first headphones ever that I can wear comfortaby over five hours at a time. Sadly, mic is not on a boom but clips onto somewhere convenient - a little fiddly at first.
Sound quality is awesome, though the bass will distort at high volume.

I can't remember how many times i've said it in UT2004 forums,
But don't ever ****ing buy that pos. well since you did , you got scamed like me, and SlayerDragon here at BUF. The wire will move insde the headset and it will **** all the way. Hell, i just bought me the Zalman 5.1 w/ mic and they are perfect yet. Even better, it's not one of those ****ing bs headset, you have a soft web inside the hear pads so your ears barely touch the pads from insde. They get really comfortable, and they are not that heavy (in my oppinion) And it rocks with EAX on.

I know Kantham. I've had them for awhile now. And like you said, the wires come out/loose rather easily. That's why I made this thread :P
The image you posted looks a bit funky. Like they are side-oval shapped? Is this correct? Or is it just an illusion of sorts? And I see no mic either.

Im going to add this in my sig.
And yes, the Zalman have a oval shape design that don't bother. It's just a look.

If price is of no concern, get the Medusa 5.1. If your budget is a bit tighter, get the Zalman as Kantham suggested.

While everyone is here, can anyone recommend a nice pair of headphones (no mic)? I'd like a big style ones, not the in-ear or behind the neck. I'm kinda eyeballing these:
Sennheiser HD-280

I'd be looking at something around this price range. I need it because my old programming headphones have run their course, so I need a new set while I'm chipping away at my code ;)

Can anyone recommend some earbuds (you know the type of ear phones that come with mp3 players) ? My Creative Zen Sleek ones broke :(

The Sennheiser HD-280s are the best value headphones I have ever used (and I have used a lot, including a few 5.1 sets). They are under $100, but they still provide crystal-clear sound. They also are excellent with noise cancelling and are comfortable to wear.

Guess I'll be getting these ones. They have the mic and all, and they seem pretty good from ALL the reviews I've read.
The bad marketing scheme "These headsets were banned from the CPL!"
I found that pretty funny and lame at the same time.
Thanks Retard, and thanks everyone else :)

I've had a pair of those for almost 2 years now. Best pair of cans i've ever had. Really good value, excellent sound, and fairly comfortable. Buy these NOW!
