I'm using photoshop 6.0 and i'm making an ad for work


the problem is that when i print everything comes out fuzzy
the words and pictures arn't crisp and it looks bad


if i use sharpen it get's worse

EDIT: It's maybe because your printer sucks?

-check file resolution

-check print settings (low/hi res etc.)

-check printer

do not use sharpen. sharpen tends to kill the image a little.
if you ever need to use the filters, try "unsharp mask" instead.

Make sure you are at atleast 300 dpi. I think that's standard for print ads.

Why are you doing ads in Photoshop? Bad. Bad bad bad. Any text or vector-friendly stuff should be done in a vector program such as In Design, Illustrator, MultiAd Creator, etc.. Heck, even Inkscape should work (and, its free).

What is the medium for the ad? Newspaper? Magazine?
