As promised, we post it in here first.
Team Orbit is now going into production: http://bodyweapon.com
Worry not, Orbit Wars will soon follow.
And yes, we are still very much a part of this community.
After all, NeoCairo is still in production.

Many team members already have had their hands on UE3, much of what we utilize will be primarily working with the new Tech. To say "great things are a foot" would be an understatement :)

WoW! This is awsomely great news indeed! I new you guys had in you, can't wait to see the outcome and the film!
Wonderfull! I'm extatic! ^x^

The site looks really awsome and the story intregues me even though i dont know how to spell intregue =)
I couldn't find who the director is, is it secret info or..?
18th Feb 2006, 02:40 PM
Well Sandy, some things we can talk about. ThunderBear wrote "The Shadow Kumite". He'll be directing it. Mario's brother is also a film director (runs in the family). Maybe you did not know, many team orbit members work in film. We have friends at Digital.
18th Feb 2006, 03:30 PM
Alright, so basically the movie will be produced completely by TeamOrbit?
I knew you had some film industrie people. one worked for disney and some others that did things in famous movies =)
If you ever need a figurant... you know where to find me :P lol
Oh and the game itself, will it be a Tekken beat em up like game? =)
18th Feb 2006, 03:47 PM
Gameplay is still a secret.
We'll post it here soon though.
18th Feb 2006, 03:50 PM
Too true BlackCat, many of us here at Team Orbit have training and experience in film, from script to screen we have done it all. Its going to be a great pleasure bringing enjoyment to both film viewers and gamers in the near future.
18th Feb 2006, 04:46 PM
Yes! This is awesome! I can't wait to start working on both the film and the game. This is a dream come true. Special thanks to Thunderbear ofcourse. Thank you.
18th Feb 2006, 04:57 PM
Heh, none of this is produced completely by Team Orbit.
Co-production would be more accurate.
Like any motion picture or video game, there are multiple elements involved.
Let's just leave it at that until we're clear to release more info along those lines.
Btw, hal's "rumor" on BeyondUnreal.com is correct, 3DRetro.com has the exclusive first run on the official bodyweapon action figures. Something to that effect should be up on their page in the next few days.

Very cool guys, the cast and movie look awesome! Can't wait to see how this develops!
18th Feb 2006, 05:30 PM
This is the first of many major steps for Team Orbit into becoming a leading multimedia force. The establishment of this project will seed the future success of Team Orbit as well as making a dramatic statement of our capabilities in the here and now.
18th Feb 2006, 06:45 PM
Hear Hear well said! Thats what I thought, im just not as good with words :D
As Thunderbear would say
"Rock on!" ;)
18th Feb 2006, 06:47 PM
Team Orbit has been silently working for quite a while. We have many things planned. We anticipate this will just be the beginning!
18th Feb 2006, 06:57 PM
This is great news, indeed. Looking forward to it!
18th Feb 2006, 08:10 PM
Makes me happy to know TO will finally be able to show its potential.
19th Feb 2006, 07:05 AM
The time has finally come to start kicking some really serious ass. Good going Thunderbear, I'm looking forward to seeing this develop.
20th Feb 2006, 06:46 PM
We have plans for new dynamic gameplay elements hithroto unknown with the Unreal Engine. The advances team members made working on Neo Cairo/Orbit Wars is just one of our more valuable assets in developing new titles.
21st Feb 2006, 07:29 PM
Awesome news. Totally looking forward to helping out.
22nd Feb 2006, 05:10 PM
man did this come out of the blue. ive been peaking here every once in a while seeing what was up with you guys. its great to see that you guys have gotten/kept so much attention and see it blossom into this. pretty cool.
most of you probably dont know me or hate me, but i was on the team back in the UT99 days. glad to see that you guys stuck it out and all. bravo
23rd Feb 2006, 02:23 AM
Glad to know you're still around Josh! wb
23rd Feb 2006, 11:49 AM
Anyone hating you Josh would have to go through me.
We remember our pillars well.
You are one of the best level designers Team Orbit ever had,
and your history with us is honorable.
What a treat, to see your post.
Thank you for stopping by old friend.
You are free to roam our halls, anytime.
24th Feb 2006, 02:14 PM
well its just good to see things moving. i always stopped by PU to see if you guys were gonna be releasing an updated mod on the ut2k platform. but hey this sounds better.
i cant wait till you can actually spill the beans on what exactly you guys are doing with the movie. it seems no matter what you are doing that you have alot to work with, that is quite a cast of people.
i would also assume that if you are doing anything with the movie itself, that will also lend itself to a game franchise as well. so it definately seems like a win win situation for you guys.
and i see that you are still talking bout action figures and all (on the other website), i still want my Remorseless action figure! >.<
good job guys and ill keep my eyes on future happenings.
24th Feb 2006, 03:52 PM
Well this sunday we're having a cast photoshoot here in Hollywood.
I will post some of the pics from that, when they come in.
<grins> and yes, we have many cool things to work with.
25th Feb 2006, 12:38 PM
