Game Design, Mod Recruitment, and You

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

I have been reading lots of these mod-idea and mod-recruitment posts and I just wanted to share some info with you. Some of these talk about Game Design itself others talk about getting into the business. All in all its good reading and very good points are made whether you want to be in the business or just make a mod for the hell of it.

I just recently found this. Its a game-design magazine. I've found some interesting reads, one of them being underrated games.

Gaming news.

Anyway, I hope this helps someone with their game design, programming, writing, or other related talent/hobby/job.

Mmmm interesting, but I doubt any one is really going to bother looking at any of those sites.

And I clicked on the links Switch sent before I read your post. I mean it isnt hard to take a little bit of your time to read. Especially if it helps you in the long run. Just trying to be helpful.

Funny you should say that. I was going to note how your recruitment post is a good one, if not the only, from the recent posts. Not only does it make me want to help you if I could, it makes me want to hone (sp?) my mapping skills so if another positions arises I could fill it. Unfortunately, my mapping experience is in HL and some HL2/Source mapping. I did make one crappy UT2k3 DM map... :p

This just doesnt happen here or in the Unreal world either. It happens in every mod forum. It just so happens I like the unreal engine and its support is far greater than HL2's.

Well, between reading, learning, and applying what you read to what you are learning
