This was just released around my area last friday, and I finally saw it last night. I thought it was a decent enough movie. Story was cool, but not something that really sucks you in. The acting was medocre at best. The fighting and action scenes were way cool I thought. Overall a good movie...Decent like I said before.

Of course, the best part is Charlize Theron in a tight black outfit kicking guys heads off. :D

Edit: This movie piqued my curiosity about the original tv show. I knew there had been several animated 'shows' called Aeon Flux in the early 90's so when I got home I looked them up online. The movie is really a lot different then the shows were.

Trevor and Aeon dont have as stable of relationship in the animated shows as in the movie. Things are a bit more...weird and philisophical in the animated shorts as well. Something that doesnt really make sense to me eithe is that in the animated shows Aeon frequently dies like shes not the main character or something, and then shes right back again in the next one. Maybe its just the format in how the shows were made and the meanings behind them. There are a lot of other differences between the movie and the show, but Im not expert and Ive never seen the show so I cant comment.

I remember the series back when it was on MTV. Good stuff.

Too bad I refuse to see movies in theatres now (MPAA/RIAA boycott - do it! http://www.freeculture.org/).

No. I did do a lot of reading about it online when I returned home. I was surprised at how different it was compared to the movie...but then I dont think I should be surprised because this is hollywood afterall.

Didn't they disallow critics to view it before it came out to the public? That makes me really hesitant to go see it o_o

Go see it!
I saw it last night and I was NOT dissapointed. I loved the series and the animated movie. This one did justice to the story and was damn good. The story worked and the whole atmosphere stayed true to the origionals. I knew i was in for a treat from the opening scene. I love the fly. lol

They could have layed it on a bit heavyer though. They could have added a litle more mind f*ck and gotten a little closer to the series. It didn't take long to figure out what was going on in the movie. The series ruled cause you realy didn't know what was going on till the end. I dont know if that would have worked in the movie though. I enjoyed it alot none the less. I recomend you see it if you have not. I am going to go watch it probly two more times.

Dont read spoiler if you havn't watched yet.;)
The main bad guy sucked. Whomever played Orin was a crappy actor. He just sucked. They should have cast someone who could bring some depth to the charicter. Every time he apeared on the screen my friend Donna would say "Aww no! Its the bad actor, Gahhhh!"
