Hey everybody whats a good FPS game besides Quake 4, the doom 3's, Fear, of course UT2k4, call of duty 2,the battlefield 2 stuff.

Meh , only thing i like from CS:S is that i can spend some time in hammer making my own level playing against bots. A pure crap online, queen of drama aswell.

Try farcry, it is very good too.

:tup: hell yeah. I whish i could play Seed of evil and the first one, i don't liked the 3rd one for some reason. And evolution sucked ass.

Else you've named 'em all. I can though give you some names of other gametypes like:
Age Of Empires III
Black & White 2
Command & Conquer: Generals: Zero Hour
Need For Speed: Most Wanted

Those I can remember right now.

Far Cry, as Kanham mentioned. Serious Sam 2 is also very good.
And IMO, Far Cry is way better than Half-Life 2. :-)

Yeah i know, give it a try offline against bots. Easy bots. They are so dumb and fun to kill. They still are a challenge though.

Not to start a flame thread for everyone against CS but I've never liked CS. Ever since I tried some of the early HL1 versions at LAN parties with my friends. The thing never caught my attention and I always longed for UT :p

And now my oppinion havn't changed even though I never tried Source. And I most likely won't.

Yep . It´s really fun .
Agreed , but Half Life 2 isn´t a bad game IMO.Steam is evil .That´s the reason my gamedealer got it back .


Not to start a flame thread for everyone against CS but I've never liked CS. Ever since I tried some of the early HL1 versions at LAN parties with my friends...

It´s fun with friends in Funmaps (Teamdeathmatchlike , no bombs , no hostages , only kills ) , like Poolday . A lot of mess :lol:
We played Poolday at our last LAN with 6 ppl 5 hours (Something like 150 rounds) and it was really Big Cinema :D .
Besides that , I don´t like the rest from CS/CS:S . I don´t have fun searching for bombs.

Battlefront 2.

Although all the screenshots in mags are probably 3rd person, you can change it ingame via pause menu. Stupidly, they forgot to leave an empty button, which I put switch view on in BF 1. Oh 2 other bad things, new Geonosis map sucks, and the bots don't seem to use the TIE Bombers' remote missle, which is great against fighters and bombers. They use the AT-ST rem. missle though, but your best getting a player in both those seats.

True, bots aren't smart enough to fix the capital ships' sheild generator or auto turret computer.:/

I don't care much for BF2, but i totaly disagree for CS:S. This game is way better offline.

The best shooter game is socom3, dont flame. If you get a clan and some friends imo its better than ut. But other than that far cry is good. wait til ut2007 for the ps3 or comp comes out.

UT2007 on PS3? Xbox360 definate, but PS3 is too much work to get it to run (its got 1 main core + 6 subordinate cores, while 360's got 3 cores at the power of 2)

PC version shall be the best anyway, and I plan to get that version. Simple fact is it's far easier to mod. No black market chips needed for that.

C&C: Renegade. :tup: Multiplayer is almost a mix of FPS and RTS.

Nope, UT2k7 will be on PS3 and not on the 360... Gears of War will though (that game looks wicked).

Hmm, still, the PC version will be far superior. It'll have more support in the form of patches, and it'll have a large community from the word go.

no doubt about Elite UT2k7 will Own on the PC hands down! Larger coummity than you can get on the PS3!! Even if the PS3 version can have people creating maps they'll never be as good as the PC verison!

Ut2007 will be fantastic but what will happen to the custom model community. You saw how it literaly dwendeled in half life 2. what will people do. anyhow.. If there was an fps i could play again for old time sake..Its Turok and Turok 2. and an fps i want to play but its not here yet is the next Episode for HL2. Aftermath

you guys see those 2 new 360 games Mass Effect and Human (or something with that name) I was reading on them, they going to be a 3 part series (both of them) and both of them are going to use the new unreal engine 3. They look exquisite.

yeah that was it. I was looking at chrome hounds what kind of game is that FPS RTS RPG or a mix of various things.
