Old NC2 news:
6-16-00 - Maz Gas Pains!
It'll be really nice once the big automotive corporations start producing these gas-electric hybrid vehicles, then OPEC will actually have a reason for jacking gas prices up another few bucks per gallon (I live in the midwest USA, Michigan, which is actually in the eastern-most quadrant of the States...don't ask). Prices are anywhere from $1.99 to $2.17 per gallon for regular unleaded, and it just plain bites. From an economic stand point, the average rate of inflation over the past years indicates that gas prices are actually still quite low, but I feel much better being angry towards OPEC, as it's almost an essential part of carrying on with our lives through vehicular transportation, and we have to fork over the cash. At least I don't care for SUV's and big-arse trucks. I would end up spending an even bigger chunk of change for a fill-up.
