The bad news - not a lot erotic in it.
The good news - early days, but a great map. Smooth as silk, no obvious flaws and the Q3 textures look as good as Q3 textures could look ! Eeeeeeeeecellenttttt.

hehe , I'l download it for its name alone seriously tho , It looks cool judging from the shots on your site , so I'll give you a bit more feedback when I have it , one thing tho, you were saying that you might take out the music , make 2 versions , one with , one without! , cant be that hard

Here is my feedback, I hope that it is of any use...
First of all, I though it was quite a good map It connected well, the lighting was fine, as was the bot-pathing and it wasn't too hard to learn.
Sizewise, I played it with 7 bots and that seemed alright (4-10 would be the ideal range IMO).
The layout was alright as well, although I do have a few gripes with the staircases "just being there" if you know what I mean. Perhaps if you decorated them in some way with extra brushes (eg pillars) but that could push the frame rates down.
I've got an Athlon 550 with an overclocked G400 and managed 45-50fps (good enough for me). There was some slow down in that corridor with the cob webs which could cause some problems though.
A couple more recommendations, if I may:
1. There's a spawn point right next to the power-up which isn't advisable IMO (although the jump pad and lava pit are good ideas). Is there a RL on the levl above it? Placing one there would add a dimension of risk to getting the power-up.
2. There are HOMs on the apexs of the curved surfaces.
3. There is a spawn poinnt next to the FC which could lead to spawn-camping.
4. I hope you plan to include a screen shot
5. I also found that you could jump out of the arena with the anti-grav boots. Are you going to put a roof on it?
Other than that, top effort and I would give it a 7.5 in its present form. I'm looking forward to an updated version... Hope I was of use.

I think u should take the music out and just have it play one of the default music files instead. The download is too big, it has put me off downloading it! And I'm sure many would think the same and just pass it by. I'll go download it anyway, I just hope that he music is good to be worth the download time on my lowly 56k!

the map is pretty sweet Neo_skins and Inflictor have covered the problems , so I won't repeat them , I'm going to hold onto the beta if its ok with you because I think the music rocks!

hehe , ok leave the name as it is , but update the thread later on and tell us how many downloads you actually get the good thing is that when someone names a map something like Erotica , it usually ends up being a sh!tty map , but at least with your map they won't be sorry that they got it

I never got round to downloading the first beta, didnt have the time, I'm downloading the new one as I type. Looks kinda like DM-Brutallity][ from the pics on your site. I'm sure it will be good.

The Inflictor has returned from the land of the muppets...I finally managed to download the updated file.
I like what you did to the steps, they make a vast difference The broken bricks are also a nice (god, I hate that word) touch. You've moved the Flak Cannon as well as the spawn point near the damage-amp, as far as I could see
I also like the way the invisibilty is tucked away in that little corner (dunno if it was there in the first place)

Hats-off mate, its a definite improvement IMHO. I'll give it 8.25 (because I'm an engineer and like decimal points, but also there is always room for improvement for anything)
I still reckon you should change the name, only because if you want it reviewed by NC, for example, they may overlook it because of the iffy name.
Keep up the good work and give us a shout if you do another map, or update this one again

Ok I finally got round to playing this map, and I have to say it is quite a damn sweet little map indeed, oh yes!
There was absolutly no slowdown what so ever on my PII 400, V3 2000. The level flow is well done, everywhere leads somewhere.
I liked the little tunnel up to the sniper rifle and inivisability using the jump boots too.
I didnt notice any flaws, I dont know wot HOMs are but the curved surfaces looked ok to me.
I liked the little Nali praying statues too, they where pretty nifty. I'm not quite sure wot that one on the spick woth the mad glowing stuff was all about but it looked kewl anyway!
One thing I think should be changed is the lava pit, when you fall in you dont sink and die, you just seem to get blown up like you where hit with a rocket launcher or somethin! The sound just seems out of place when someone falls in! Ya should just make it like a normal lava pit with some depth to it.
Also int he flyby at the start I noticed that it was posible to go over one side of the arena outside! A well places rocket could maybe knock ya over though I doubt it would happen, just pointing it out anyway.
The name definatly must be changed. DM-Erotica just does not suit the map at all. Ya have a very good map goin here and the name just doesnt do it any justice wot so ever! Maybe because of the Nali statues it could be called 'Nali Death Temple/Chambers' because it lookes like some sort of temple where Nali would pray for their dead or somethin to that effect! Sure alot of ppl would d/l it cos it was called Erotica but after seeing nothing erotic in it at all they would probably be just annoyed and have it deleted promptly and not bother to try and like it much. The name has to reflect the map in some way, you would probably be marked down for giving it the Erotica name as it is a false perseption of the map.
If you rename it and do anything else like improve the lava pit then I would definatly download it again because I quite like it.
