Can someone help me how to make a lift

hey i need some help i dont kno how to build a simple lift that starts at the bottom and goes up and comes back down. and a puddle of poison. plzzz help :mad:

Scroll down to the movers and lifts tutorial, simple enough, doesn't show you alot, but enough for just a simple up and down elevator.
About the poison, do you mean somekind of puddle of poison? like the lava in deck17? or just a small puddle? anyway, you could probably find something for both of them in the wiki, they should be faily easy to make:
