Well this is my second map that I actually intend to complete, although the first one really sucked :D.
It only includes the layout, weapons, player startes and some limited bot capabilitiy, (it only uses 2 textures, or was it 3?).
It's still in a very early stage, so it has some weird bugs (mainly with the bots), and I'd like some help with finding them and dealing with them before I add in all the fancy stuff:

Had a little playtest and didn't really liek it at all :l

First things first, I'd sort out the lava, you just fall through it too the bottom as if nothings there. Second the lighting at the top, or lack of it. Also everythings a bit too spaced apart to jump around cleanly, spent most of my time on the ground. I'd tighten the top corridors up a bit, and maybe reduce the size. Also, your putting in textures later, right?

I'm not much of a map reviewer, but thats my thoughts :)

first of all THNX for the critisism, people tend to be too nice to people new to mapping.
1. I'll look at other maps and how they handle lava there.
2. Yes, the size of the map is the first thing I'd noticed going wrong in it.
3. Yes, I'll add in textures and static meshes after the most basic gameplay problems are fixed.

If the map is in its very early stages of development, that's called an alpha. Beta is for things that are quite near completion. ;)

Okay, I've made some slight changes.
- Tightened the top floor a little.
- Added a sniper rifle.
- added pathnodes all over the map, so that the bots won't get stuck, and added jumpspots all over the place.
- moved lights around a little, nothing noticeble, and added lights on the top floor.
- moved player starts to prevent crammed areas, and even out the map.
- added adrenalin in the main hall.

how about a bit of asymmetry? right now its 1/4 symmetrical
