There was the usual migration to ketnar. Nothing more to say.

And then back to Viper for TAM.

too one sided...10-0 on antalus :s

LooseCannon
21st May 2005, 03:02 AM
One sided happens... but x28,105 consequtive TAMs?... ;)

GGs.

As a point of interest, the ONS-Primeval at the end had the worst lag I've ever had at FragBu. In fact, lag has never been an issue for me before. Just my lack of skills.

No worries. :)

Lag on Prime? :con: Junk I can understand, but PRIME?!?

Very good games on early vipers tonight. :)

ggs

Did a lot of server hopping, but wound up getting in a good mix.

I will one day learn to stop doing stupid stuff and actually hit something with the lightning gun. :)

I got in one or two games finally tonight. I was lanning over Hammers so we didn't have the best connections but it was fun nonetheless. Got o play JB-Grudge for the first time. Always nice to hop into there and get a new map :D
I'll try to start showing my ugly mug round FragBU more often.

TAM's modified shield gun have both been removed.
to no effect

ggs on ketnar, can't remember anything on viper that wasn't less than satisfying. Either I'm losing patience for the typical matches or I'm just getting tired of playing.

You know you've played too much fragBU when you visit the server both nights without sleeping inbetween :D
GG's, even though I don't remember much from saturday. I was a bit tired...and stoned...and drunk...and paying more attention to the beercan in my left hand than on the game.

(CTF-Arid)
JohnDoe: lol, the reflections on the bird heads are from Face3. :/
Raffi_B: JD i made this map back in the day
Raffi_B: i didn't know how to do custom cubemaps

(Hyru brought a special hat to fragBU)
Funkblast: damn your birthday hat of power

hyru_viii *<:-): i swear, some of these players have their brains connected to their computer

AFX=CiDeRáX: there needs to be a bio-sniper

(it's always fun when people ask for the time in a timezone. You're guaranteed to get different answers)
Agent_5: one, two, five! - three sir. Oh three, sorry

(CTF-Ferris)
hyru_viii(1.5M): darn bushes hax didn't work :(

Apparently, my accent is both sexy and reminiscent to communism. Teamspeak is getting more fun with every fragBU
A large chat conversation about love and losses as well, but it's not up to me to tell the details about that...

Yeah, and you missed how you played one handed and how someone else wanted to spooge. :/

T2A`
22nd May 2005, 03:43 PM
Bio-sniper would be the most hilarious thing ever. It could fire fully-charged goo shots in a straight line... Wish I knew more of how UScript classes worked together so maybe I could do it... Probably wouldn't be too hard. Just take gravity off the goo shots and have it so the gun's secondary is a zoom like the lightning and the primary acts like the bio secondary. Hmm... I might have to give this a shot.

Tenkken
22nd May 2005, 03:53 PM
I imagined the bio-sniper with a lg scope, and it would project small goop shots very quickly. You'd have to add some gravity to the shots though and make the goop fall a little.

T2A`
22nd May 2005, 04:57 PM
Well, then it'd just be a zoom pulse rifle with slight gravity on the shots. Making the gun's primary act like the goo secondary you could shoot both small shots rapidly and hurl large globs across a map.

CLeaning out my screenshot folder from last week. If for any reason I stop and do nothing in the middle of a duel or something it's not because I've just given up but it's more likely I've hit my screenshot button while trying to change weapons at the most inconveniet (http://img57.echo.cx/my.php?image=shot014693xz.jpg) of times (http://img57.echo.cx/my.php?image=shot014709lf.jpg) :p.
This happens at least once each FragBU. I've considered swapping buttons but it's easy to reach when I really need it fast so I can't be bothered.

T2A`
24th May 2005, 09:40 PM
I found Caps Lock was a decent choice for a screenshot button. However, that ultimately led to a lot of screenshots of me typing something or changing my character name and other useless crap because I needed to uncaps things, so I moved it to Ctrl and/or Alt. Of course, this led to hundreds of screenshots of my viewports in UEd, so I settled on 'G'.

I just hit F9. Don't see what's so hard about it! :pYou can't hit F9 quick enough sometimes. And when you can't see the keyboard because it's dark, F9 can be a bitch to find.

I've come up with some interesting ideas regarding using devices in addition to a keyboard and mouse...

For example, I've thought of buying a cheapie $9 USB gamepad and rigging a couple large buttons into a foot-button-type assembly. For example, I could have one of my feet be the walk-forward button so I can keep on walking while typing (this works fine with the keyboard too, until you have to let go of the walk-forward button so you can use its letter in your message), and the other feet be for screenshots, so you can take a screenshot without having to drastically move your hands or whatever... :D

Some UTV camera controller people or whatever you'd call them use their feet too.

Why not? It worked great for Fred Flintstone. :P

Actually, I thought about a similar device at one point. Would seem to be easy for one fo these gaming peripherals companies to rig up something with 5 buttons on it so that you wouldn't have to move your hands from the key movement & fire controls as much while playing.

Probably only a matter of time before someone does it, I suppose. :P

I use a neuro-helmet that is hooked directly into my brain, and when I think a command, it engages. I still have to type out text though.
