alright awhile back something happend to my computer but ive got it working fine and correct again... before for some reason my processor was running at "1.13" ghz when it should have been running at "1.85" ghz.

i went into my bios and fixed the problem. now it runs at 1.85ghz but its messed up a few things...

when i run applications like steam and miranda i get a gay "Dont Send Error"
i just formated my computer a few days ago so everythings fine in that regard.

but why would changing something in the bios like that cause applications to stop working?

it even made firefox forget my passwords..

usually id fix this myself but im to tired to mess with my computer right now and dont feel like working on it.

anyhelp would be cool.

Install Motherboard Monitor and see what temp your cpu is at.

oh man, im dumb.. ive had this problem before. my system clock got borked up in the bios.. so my computer thinks the year is 2102. i discovered ahwile back when i accidently unpluged my computer from the wall WHILE it was on, that if the system clock's year is really high ALOT of applications have problems.

problem solved.

My old cpu ran at 733 mhz, when it was 1ghz becuase my cpu fan got clogged up and the overheating almost cracked the cpu core in half. Open up your case and clean it out, if resetting the clock didnt fix it.

Yeah, CPU heatsinks can always use some q-tip treatment.
