Plane got in at 10pm local time. Got to the hotel at 11ish (Shangri-la), looked at the window and saw a place that looked pretty banging.

Ended up in the "Beach club"?

All I can say is very, very good night. Pics soon to follow.

But if we've got anyone here that lives in Malaysia drop me a line here and maybe we can hook up for beer, dancing and generally larging it up. I fly out Monday morning (to Singapore, again for work) so should have tomorrow night free and maybe some nights over the weekend (though not sure on that one as thats when the work is supposed to take place).

Mmmm, very beautiful place. When my ship stopped there the buses dropped us off a block from the Petronas Towers. I was disappointed that they don't give tours (damn you Sean Connery, Buck Futter!).

This is pretty vague, but if you stop by China Town and look around the open air shops, they have this square shaped meat-sugary dealie, kind of like jerky. You should try it out. God I want some more of that stuff.

Ok, heres some pics from KL. My excuse staying out drinking till 3am was so that I could watch the liverpool game. The bar had a pretty good live band going on - did a mix of punk and r@b - tell you one thing though, I found the guy singer rather amusing when he did Sean Paul "Like Glue" with his accent. Plus I ran into a group of drunk Brits (are there any other type abroad), who were pretty sound and one of whom seemed to be under the impression that he was in platoon... Last photos of me completely legless attempting to get to the bar (dirty stinking gooner arsenal scum had just beaten us 3-1), no idea who took the photo, how they got my camera or why they gave it me back :eek:

Now currently in Singapore (they stuck me in Raffles \o/) about to head out to play (its 7:40pm here) - flight doesn't leave until tomorrow evening at 11:55pm and I'm not working tomorrow as I got it all done today so will probably do some site seeing tomorrow. Tonight I intend to get so drunk that I see leprechauns. More pics to follow.
