so ive made a vent path with 3 possible exits. the hight and width are 64 units. i have no problem getting into the vent however. one of the exits is a horizontal drop whch the player can fall into an office.
however when you get to the exit, it wont let you drop out. same with the last exit
on leading to the broken elevator shaft. this time however on a normal staright route from the primary vent entrance room.
any ideas ?

That link is UT1
Youre running against the auto stay on surface thing
Go stand near an edge in any map and hold down duck or walk and now try to walk of the edge, you wont be able to do so. You cant walk and fall off things when you have walk or duck button pressed, its a gameplay feature
There might be a way around that but I doubt itll be simple, if you want it simple just add some room to first stand up before jumping down in to the room. Like an open vent hatch hanging 45 degrees down

ahh i didnt know about that "feature", would something like a invisible volume angled at 45 degrees ? or angle the vent a bit ?

what you could try doing is adding a volume and adjusting the gravity ???
unfortunatly angling it wont help unless the angled '"surface" is beyond 65 degrees (i think its that much)and then the player will slide down(player would have to fit on the entire slope).
