Come to irc.enterthegame.com #tampug for TAM Pick Up Games ;)

There's another channel called #tam which runs a different pugbot, you have the option to pug in whichever channel you want.
Get your clan members involved, and start pugging it up.

This is the wrong forum to post this in. Post it in the UT2004 Forum (http://forums.beyondunreal.com/forumdisplay.php?f=131) :)

Why pug in tam?

Makes more sense with something like ons or as.

Nah. I bet TAM can be real fun when you are able to use voice to outmaneuver the enemy. TAM takes a little strategy too. But not much. Not anything close to AS or ONS, I imagine. Still would be a great experience for fans of TAM.

#TAM changed their topic to 'this channel is going nowhere, please use #tampug' at some point this week.

Is there any specially designed TAM maps? Because TAM sucks in most pickup oriented TDM maps. Especially if you play it competitively. There are areas that are too easy to defend and camp but there aren't any pickups there, so the no player can camp there too long and benefit his team. TAM played competitively on pickup oriented maps sucks. Someone should make some TAM maps.

It works better if the camper radius is incresed a bit from default, and there is communitcation. Locking down map areas isn't as easy as you would think. I play with my roomate quite a bit, and just the two of us communicating with each other, we can divert entire teams, and overtake spots as such, etc. Said communication tends to benefit those "on the move" more then those "Fortified".

I wanna say pipeworks is made for TAM, but I hate that map. Goose, Waisten, Achilles, Campgrounds, Deck, Roughinery, Irondust, Ironic, and quite a few other maps all play magnificently in TAM. TAM just has a different dynamic then normal DM, and sometimes takes some adjusting.
