I think it is essential that I start this thread, because I've heard three tracks off this album, and it's making my head asplode. I've heard:
Feel Good Inc ft. De La Soul
Dirty Harry ft. Booty Brown from Pharcyde
(I forget the name) ft. Roots Manuva
And they are all excellent. For those who know, Dan the Automator got replaced by Danger Mouse (the Grey Album guy) and I am very impressed. It doesn't sound too much like the old album, primarily because anything Dan sounds like his work, but this still has the Gorillaz feel. I am excited. Hrm...yes I am.
Video for Feel Good Inc:

There is a Real version too, but everyone hates Real. Couldn't bothered to look too long for a quicktime. And there is an mpeg version on the torrents.

I didn't realize they had something new comming out. Great video!
I've got the album 2 days ago (yeh sue me!)
Unlike Bean said I think it sounds alot like the old album, which isn't bad, since that album was cool. Once you put it on you immediately hear it's the Gorillaz at least I did when I first heard it.
When is the official release date?

I've already been listening to (and watching) Feel Good Inc for quite some time. I heard they were releasing an album a while back and that it got delayed. So when I heard the single it was quite a nice surprise
Love the track. Haven't heard any of the others but I'm confident that it's going to be a good album going from what others are saying.
Release date is May 9. :)
Edit: http://fans.gorillaz.com/multimedia.php also has the video and audio to Feel Good Inc...

I'm a bigger fan of Dan than Dangermouse and was very wary of the switch, but so far I got nothing to complain about.

I was listening to Feel Good Inc. on WinAmp when I saw this thread.
I got it on Repeat and I think it looped for about 20 times already. This track blows me away. 'Nuf said.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one looping this song. :-)

I think they are great, really catchy new tune, sticks in your head after a bit. I love the animation in their videos, I can see a cartoon series based on the band members in the future, maybe! :)

A musical movie would make much more sense and would probably be way better than a series. It is something I would certainly pay money for.

I've been playing that song at least once everytime I drive my car. I have the two tracks on a CD, and I just hafta listen to them.

Have you checked out Interstella 5555 by Daft Punk et. all? It's a superbly japanimated film set to one of their albums. Well worth owning on DVD.

I've only seen the first four videos because they were shown on Cartoon Network I think. I kinda forgot about it to be honest. I need to see how it ends! :P

lol, I woke up with Feel Good stuck in my head, wondering where the hell I'd heard it. My boyfriend finally recognized it after two hours of me bugging him. We had watched the vid yesterday. Great song, definitely getting the album when it comes out!

It is pretty cool, but I would have to say it's not the best work of De La Soul. The video rocked though!:)

Ok, I didn't want the dogs of war (courtesy BBA) sicced on me. I also thought the DLS lyrics weren't anything special, but the vocal delivery was sharp. First few times I heard it, the flow impressed me, but then when I caught the lyrics, they didn't match the delivery.

The rest of the cd is crap. No where near as good as the first.

I like Doom's November and Manuva's All Alone most :)
I really thought switching from Dan to Dangermouse was a bad idea... but I was wrong. Pretty cool laid back album.

did I just see cleaner in here?
have I been asleep? do you occasionally post in OT, haven't you been gone for a while?
Feel good Inc rocks, btw, the rest of the album is pretty hot as well, it feels like a very natural evolution for the Gorrillaz.

I really want to buy this album, but I am afraid. I need some reviews from you guys who have heard it already (more than "it is good!" or "it sucks don't buy it!") ;)

Hrm...I heard most of the tracks, and I am totally convinced that it rules. There are more...Song songs on this album. On the previous one, there were just lots of odd pieces (Double Bass, M1A1, etc), but there aren't as many on this. I mean, they are there, but they are more easily accessible (M1A1...I couldn't deal with the endless 'Helloooooo, is anybody there?').
It's just a really solid piece, and I'll look forward to getting the whole album soon. Its looking real good.
