How do you install a freakin cursor?

I grow weary of my current cursor (3D Bronze) and wanted to download a new cursor. The one I have is a .gif.

How can I actually use this thing?

Need to convert it to a .cur file. Most likely some free editors out there. :)

It's turning out to be more trouble than it's worth...... first I can only find things that convert from cursor to picture, not the other way around (which is what I need).

Second the one program I did find sucked. Sure you could make your own cursor in this large-scale 32x32 grid but I'm not really the artistic type.

Alright, damn it, I'm going to do this. If someone can point me to a picture-to-.cur converter, I'll do the rest. I'm going to damn well learn something here.

Hmm, I'm pretty sure MicroAngelo can do it, and it has a free 30 day trial.

Also, as mentioned, Microangelo's a pretty a fun and intuitive piece of software. That'd be a good bet.

Hmm there may be some plugins for photoshop/paint shop pro that do it. dunno though

I used to use microangelo all the time in my windows 98 days, it used to be a really good program back then and I'd be surprised if it wasn't now.
