View Full Version : model/skin/help needed

I have skinned a model , but when i export it to unreal it dosen't show up in the when i select it in the character select, or in-game

What is the name of the character, mutt? If it has spaces it could be a problem or if the name matches an existing one. Have you saved it first, then exported?

Hope that points you in the right direction for now ;)

[EDIT] I don't recognise the character model so maybe that's it, if it's not a default game model. Anyone else?

It's an Elite from HALO.

its not an existing game model, i don't know the exact name of it, but it's from the halout 1.7 , saved then exported

i did it like any other skin

Unsure mutt as in order to have 'that' character in 2k4 I'd assume it has to be rigged and animated (not just skinned using a .psk) More info would help ;)

Export the textures from Upaint as images, then import into a texture file. You'd have to write the .upl to use the model that's already been made... In other words if your texture file is Halo.utx then the .upl would look like Mesh=Halo.HaloElite,BodySkin=Halo.Body,FaceSkin=Halo.Head,Species=whatever...

I've no idea of the file names or anything about Halo so I really cant help further. Maybe someone here has actually downloaded that mod and can help :)

Well first off do u have all the first still installed that u got with halout1.7 still installed? If not u might want to install them again. other then that im not quite sure

Best way to do it I suppose and the easiest way for me to explain, mutt without the files here is that you open the Elite.upl file that came with that mod and make your own the same apart from saying whatever file your textures are in... Then it should be no hassle really :D
