The Fusion DM Clan have cooked up something called the Fair Gaming Alliance(FGA) to level the playing field for East and West coast (US) teams. To that end, they've lined up a centrally located server on which all games will be played.
The first ladders available are 2v2 TDM and 2v2 CTF and discussion is already underway in the FGA forums. Here's a bit more:
There will be no extra downloads, and no setting deviations. All FGA servers will be preset as outlined in the ladder description, and will not deviate from those settings for the duration of the ladder. The FGA will supply servers(as needed) for practice, with the same settings as the ladders they represent. The FGA not tolerate un-sportsman game play on FGA servers. When the time comes for a completion match, the match will be played(or forfeited), and comments can be made in the FGA forum. Match time will not be the time for complaints or questions.
The FGA is seeking to not only maintain a high level of competition, but also a high level of fun.
