View Full Version : Alpha channels and self illummination mask?

I forgot how to do that and I'm revising and correcting some works so, can anyone tell me how to save an Alpha channel from Photoshop? I have tried the option of saving the selection as alpha but it only allows me .RAW, .PSD and .DDS format (and it can't save me in DDS). The best would be to save them on .pcx or other compatible format.

Try saving as 32-bit Targa, works for me :)

Ok. I'll try that. In the meantime, more suggestions are welcome :) A Targa is compatible with UEngine? I forgot about that.

Yes. That's what I was asking. But can I save it as targa through Save as.. menu? I don't remeber that option available. (I'm using Photoshop 7.0)

Do you know which are the darkest maps? I want to test the self-illumination mask but most of the maps have bright textures. I tried on BridgeofFate (AWESOME) but even there there are too much lights.
