Microsoft Recommends PS2 port over USB port?

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

I just bought a Microsoft Wireless Intellimouse Explorer version 2.0 mouse, and while reading the manual, I was surprised to find out the Microsoft recommended using a PS2 port if you had a Windows Based Machine....I thought the new school of thinking was to use USB because it was faster.

Any feedback?

Thanks, Prozac

I don't think it really matters much, but I think their thought behind it is that you save a USB port when you use the mouse on the PS2 port. And if your mouse supports it, why not :)
