I've been decideing on which is a favorite among the people at skincity partialy casue i can't seem to get many peeps to d/l my skin :lol:

So what is your favorite race of 2004 ?

I see too many robot skins around though. We don't have a single Gen Mo'Kai skin for UT2004, there all for 2003. Isn't there anything skinners can do to the Gen Mo'Kai so they only run on 2004? (such as some DX features or anything that UT2003 doesn't support).

EDIT: What about a half Gen Mo'Kai + half Robot? I think that would look sweet :D

Gen Mo Kai was introduced in 2003 and SaD stacks them up as 2003 skins even thou they might be made in/for 2004. Not that anything is wrong with that.
All gen mo kai skins work with both versions.

Yes, that's right. Maybe SaD you can give more publicity to the thread :D In my opinion every race is good (including the crazy Nightmare). I don't want to imagine how they will look in the new version of Unreal Engine.

I post it in the news , after I sorted out a lot of trouble here .
My "SkinCity-PC" died yesterday night .Don´t know what´s going wrong .He isn´t booting .He is doing nothing .
I got my new PC online (with some trouble to find a driver for my old external ISDN-Card) and copied the SkinCity-Files to my new PC .

I´m on the way to post an update at SkinCity .After that I post something about this thread here.

There was a poll like this on ut2004files where Robots won hands down... Personally it's the Hellions I like most and (surprisingly?) Xan (Cybernetic) least ;)

Umm... no. You don't have to. Just make a BG for your loading screen and save it in a UTX file. Then open your User.ini file in your UT2004/System folder and find a tag like this:
[GUI2K4.UT2K4ServerLoading]
Then type in Backgrounds=1.2.3 Where 1 is the name of the UTX file Name, 2 is the Group name and 3 is the texture name. I don't know if you know already though. :p

Where's the choice for new skins for new models instead of default models ?
I'd really love to see more of that stuff as the new models don't always have the best of skins.

For the defaults I've got no real preference except that the skin needs decent teamcolours (not too bright, not too dark) and some attempt at originality (no nude for the sake of being nude or copy&paste-skinning).

Personally - I always use Fate as my charachter - my altime fav. model.
But I voted for Cybernetic, as all-in-all, they have the most original models. Also all the models there are well made.
Nightmare would have probably been my second choice, with abaddon and fate, two charchters I really dig.
The Skaarj though, have some really nice models too, with a tribal theme present, and some cybernetic action going on too... really like the look of all the skaarj models. With the addition of the EC models this is a strong group imo.
The Helions are really well modeled, and for beeing only human, have some quite cool diversity. Like those too.
My least favourite has got the be the Thundercrash... they have some really silly looking charachters and don't have much character imo.
I've seen too much of the Juggernauts and they bore me on the whole, but I like the big fat lady models - those are quite inovative.
Even though there are'nt many choices in that category, you forgot to include the Metal Guard and the Necris, both models in both groups beeing quite appealing.

There's far too many mercs. According to the website there is 327 skins for them. The Gen Mo'Kai don't have hardly any, so I feel they are left out.
