ATCHUNG!!! (Tournament)

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

ACHTUNG!!! (Tournament)

Well we now have our 8 capitanos. Everyone who has signed up to be a player please make sure you EMAIL me (boogityboy@gmail.com) this info as soon as you can so we can move on to picking teams. The captains need this info to facilitate their choices and to help create a more blanced tournament.

Please also give us your thoughts on "future" team sizes.
With the amount of players invloved we will have over 6 players per team.
I personally would like to see this start out as a 4vs4 TDM. Once we run this bracket through we should have a good idea of the average player count that is in attendance for each match. If turnout is good I'd like to see the next bracket (CTF) run 5vs5. An extra person per team in CTF will add extra strategy to the gametype as opposed to "you two stay here, we two are going for the flag) and it will also allow for less limitation in map selection. Same for ONS. If we can't find enough good ONS maps for 4vs4 we're going to have to play a different gametype.

Please send me the info above as soon as possible!

CTF.

CTF must be an odd number, anything else i don't really care. ONS is standard 6v6 here.

In britain in a small town.
I am not doing the tourney anymore because I'm getting a new card at christmas and I would be better if I had a better card. maybe next time though, I'll be more skilled, and boogs, what maps are good for trick jump practices?

@n00bkillin: the actual tournament won't be until january, so you can test out your new card there if you want.

There used to be a thead in which boogity told some good maps; I can just remember Ford_Prefect's DM-shieldgun101.
Don't be lazy and do a search :D

It's not going to start until after Christmas. I think the tentative date is January 8.

Boogity - what do you say if we give them the flexibility of saying a minimum of 4 with a maximum of 5 on all gametypes, depending on player availibility?

BTW Boogity - You've got mail! ;)

I wanted emails cuz I only use that gmail account for game stuff and it's nice and organized that way. Makes it easier than having to pick through all the "extra" posts between member info. :)

Be looking through these tonight and trying to come up with an easy to use "list" for team captains to use while picking teams. :D
