Due to a hard drive crash, I was unable to reinstall UT2004. However, I do still have UT2003, so I put that on instead.

It's alright. The gameplay doesn't seem much different or worse than in UT2004, the only thing I don't like about it is the small amount of maps and no Onslaught.

Does anyone here still have and play UT2003?

Nope, i don't think there are many of them still playing UT2003, i uninstalled it quit quickly after UT2004 came out, was with a friend who got it still installed and i must say, you are lucky if you find someone else online on the 30 servers there still are :)

I reinstalled UT2k3 last week, because one of my friends wanted to have a game with me, but he hasn't bought UT2k4 yet.

So yeah, I still play UT2k3.

:con: I thought UT 2004 was backwards compatible...

UT2004 > UT2003

The only reason I kept UT2003 on my hard drive when UT2004 came out was that my clan had a couple of ClanBase Cup matches to play. I uninstalled UT2003 aproximately 60 seconds after the end of the last match. I don't miss it.

I have all 3 installed on my new computer, but only UT/UT2003 installed on my old computer. After all this time, I'm finally messing around with bot custom skins and voices in UT2003 and UT2004 like I have had set up forever in UT. I still mostly play UT2004 and UT though.

No. If you could do that to the demo, what incentive would you have to get the full game? :p

I finally found an aging and curiously wet copy of UT2004 sitting in a shop. Installing.

While I had to use UT2003, it really got me thinking about how Epic left 2003 owners in the dark, pretty much. Anyone who bought this game, (besides 4-12 slightly boring maps for each gametype) just has a year and a half of mostly poor quality maps and a few old releases for mods that are compatible with UT2003. UT2004 is great, but UT2003 was really a bad deal. I can't believe it's still on sale.
