Is there a way that I can override my skin, and say if someone else was using renegade, they would see normal renegade, but I would see my skin? Is that possible. Also in uPaint I noticed that Sahhpire was a visor or something over her face... can you fix that? Maybe an update?

What do you mean ? The avatar-pic ?

If so , open the User CP , go to Edit Avatar .You can chose from many standart ones or EnterURL/ Upload your own .

No, I meant portrait in UT. My avatar matches sig but it’s too big, data size :P

Create a portrait pic like you would with the body / head textures. Just keep to the sizes, 256 x 516 i think, you should check that :P

in the .upl file you must link to it

Portrait=nameoftexturefile.nameofportraitfile


If you still dont understand, open the XPlayers.upl file in UT2004 System folder and have a look at one of the characters lines


and I agree, the fix fixes the visor on the Upaint model but doesnt remove it from the model in game

Ok well thanks, if I name the portrait though, do I put the whole works? C:\Documents and Settings\Jason\My Documents\My Pictures\Jason's Stuff\Avatars?

ok, the portrait picture itself, is put into the texture package (with your body/head skin) so its one .utx pack

nameHeadA
nameBodyA
namePortrait

would all be in .utx (Are you using UnrealEd to make the .utx files?)

When they're in there, put the correct file names in the .upl files

Portrait=nameoftexturefile.namePortrait,BodySkin=nameoftexturefile.BodyA

etc :|

Its installed with Unreal Tournament .. Start > Programs > UT2003/4 > Unreal Ed

Or go to the UT2003/4 directory and click on the editor's .exe

I never realized you can open char with that, thought was just for levels... Thx. See if I can figure out what you're talking about
Well found texture editor, found my portrait, no idea how to upload a new pic ;_;

Hm? so you click file open, open you're texture package, delete the Upaint rendered portrait, click file > import, find the portrait you want to import, click ok and then file > save. Then do the .upl file \o/

Ok I've just been fidiling around to see if it works, will it not work if the pic is wrong size? and does it have to be dds?

The pic im trying just to see if it works is 100x100 and it wont work, maybe b/c not right size? or is there something else wrong?[its BMP file]

Size needs to be right, open Xplayers and look at the sizes of the portraits in there, because i cant remember off the top of my mind what sizes it is. No it doesnt have to be .dds when imported, it can be .bmp, .jpeg, .tna what ever. It will work :)

Ok, so one worked, was half the size, made new one the right size 256x512pixels[just made]... Not working...

*EDIT* It works! Guess won't open 32-bit file, Thanks a lot for your help Ghost
