UnWheel Common Problems & FAQs

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

Q: I'm trying to run a server, but nobody can select a vehicle!?
A: You need to add the UnWheel packages to your ServerPackages:
Code:

Q: I'm using a Mac and the game crashes when I try to select a vehicle!
A: You need to upgrade to at lease UT2004 v3236, this patch can be found here: http://download.beyondunreal.com/fileworks.php/official/ut2004/ut2004-macpatch3236.dmg.bz2

Q: I try to select a vehicle but no vehicle apears and I spawn as a player!
A: Make sure you have the latest patch installed. UnWheel has been tested on UT2004 versions 3236 and 3270. All the latest patchs for all platforms can be found on BeyondUnreal FileWorks here: http://download.beyondunreal.com/browse.php?dir=official/ut2004/

Q: I install UnWheel but there is no UnWheel mod folder created in the UT2004 directory! I create a directory for UnWheel, install it in there, but I can't play!
A: UnWheel doesn't install itself as a mod, but as an add-on to the game, putting its files into UT2004's default (Maps, Sounds, Animations, System,...) directories. This might be changed in the future because of the number of fans who don't like this, so stay tuned!

Q: I have picked a car in the menu, but the game crashes with a General Protection Fault when I click "Select". What can I do?
A: Check if you have the newest patch for UT2004!!!

The ones who read this are awarded the "Uncommon Common Sense Award" for at least reading this post before posting all over again that the game crashed!!!

Q: It says UnWheel is for 2K3/2K4 but the latest edtion won't run on 2K3!

A: The latest versions (and hence any versions from now on unless we decide to switch games) are for UT2004. The last UT2003 version is beta 2 and is available from BeyondUnreal Fileworks from our website:

Q:When I run the zipped version I can't play UWRC-LostGods/It doesn't appear in the menu!
