As somebody has reported the use of a bot on our 2k4 MotherShip today I need some suggestions what to do (does someone know of a good AntiCheat program for UT2004?) ... opinions please. :)

Is Wormbo's Anti TCC (http://www.koehler-homepage.de/Wormbo/download2k4.html#AntiTCC) installed? It's supposed to deal with most cheats.

Anti TCC is Okay. I honestly wouldnt reccomend it.... It totally kills everyones ping. Lag is severe especially during Tcc checks. Mid game checks are a killer, and i mean that literally. Almost everyone dies during this cause of the slow down. I have also not heard a report back yet from Wormbo as to why his program searches outside of the Ut2004 folder. There is no reason and he wouldnt say as to why he implemented this.

Just wanted to note, i notice that some tcc kicks me for some watermark file, but the latest up to date ones do not. is this a file created from the newest patch?

yes. And don't install JB. Most JB players are common with the kickvote menu. Use it. Also when you use UT2Vote. That'd be enough to boot botters.

ps. did you check whether he used bot or not? Many people just say it just because they're better than themselves. If he did use a bot, what is his nick? I wanna hunt him down :D

The only thing UnrealScript can do outside the UT2004 directory is look for the presence of files, and that's exactly what AntiTCC is doing to look for certain files indicating the presence of some external cheats. Somewhere in this thread (http://forums.beyondunreal.com/showthread.php?t=144274) Wormbo details what's happening.
