UT Problem PLZ HELP!

I have a:
Celeron 550
64MB of RAM
ASUS v6600 GeForce
Win2k

Ok this is my problem... When playing UT I lock up after 3 minutes on average and the game continues. I am not able to shoot, walk, jump, or look around but all the bots continue to kill each other... Sometimes i am able to play for a half an hour at a time but that is rare... how do i fix this problem???
