Converting an .uxx file?

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

There is a little file called cache.ini in your cache folder. This contains all the english equivalents of the gibberish names that the files have. Match them up exactly and rename the gibberish and add the extension .unr to it. Then move it to your maps folder. Texture files that go along with some maps will be in there too, but they need the extension .utx and sound needs extension .uax and music needs extension .umx.
Then move the files to the correct folders. If you start a map and get an error message, read what file it says is missing. Probably what you will need to do is rename the extension of the texture/sound/or music file that you guessed wrong at, the first time. Then move it to the correct folder again.
