Dedicated UT server on Win NT

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

Running windows NT with service pack 4, on an athlon 600, 256 mg ram. When trying to run a dedicated server, or playable sever, other computers on the network do not find the game (these computers are running win 98 se). We have TCP/IP and ipx/spx protocols running on all machines. what is the problem we can't figure it out.

A) make sure all the computers on the LAN are using the same first three octets. i.e., 10.0.0.x - X is the only number that can be different for it to show up as a LAN game.

B) As Honey said - make sure you're subnet mask is the same as well. i.e., 255.255.255.0

C) Why not Service pack 5? or 6a?

D) As stated, UT does not use IPX/SPX in any way shape or form.
