got an 800 on the Math SAT II, 750 on the Chemistry. but...500 on the writing. suck my balls writing

Writing is BS. You have hardly any control over how you're test is going to turn out if you don't fit a mold.
the writing test was friggin hard as hell. 20 minutes to write an essay, 40 minutes for 70 multiple choice questions. i only had time to even LOOK at 41/70 questions, so i doubt i got more than 30 right.
shadow, the SAT IIs are all on a 800 scale, and the math IIC tests precalc + a tiny bit of calc.
