View Full Version : Invasion Woes

Am I the only one who thinks that someone needs to re-skin the invasion creatures? Hell I'd do it myself if someone can tell me how to open the skins in PSP. I have a great fondness for that mode and it just kinda takes away from the adrenalin pumped feeling of frenzied survival... when the nightmares comming for your blood and soul are pixelated blurrbs. :P Just seems like it would be a great chance for someone to Mod a Nightmarish add-on..

Nalid, open ur UnrealEditor that came for ut2004, search for the invasion package,
open that, export all the files into pcx files, then u can paint them one by one in psp, Save them.
Import them back into the same package and u got new invasion monsters.
I dunno how to make them appear like a mutator, but im sure its possible with some coding.

Well... I tried for a good while, I exported them to .pcx files into my My UT Skins. And, they actually come up with Psp icons.. but when I load them into Paintshop.. theres a whole lot of nothing there... Its just a big empty window thats transparent.. (You can see the checkerboard background)

"If that isnt working, contact me on msn ( = Seven ) and ill try doing the export from ued myself. And send u the pics, thru msn."

When you save the pcx files, make sure psp isnt putting an alpha channel on them or something. look in the option in the save-as window.

I'm fairly certain if you play around with the Invasion textures you won't be able to play online for the same reason as you would if you played with any other texture package! Feel free to experiment, just backup the original file i suppose! And hope youdon't get banned maybe!
