Weapon Modelling...

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

I have the first- and third-person versions of a weapon modelled in 3ds max. I have been searching everywhere for things I ought to know before exporting with ActorX, whipping up some UScript, and trying to get my weapon in-game. Does my weapon need bones (for attaching it to the hand)? How else does it differ from StaticMesh modelling? If anyone knows these kind of details about custom weapons, or can point to some good documentation or tutorials, I would be greatful.
