View Full Version : UT2k3 mod, MVPB, looking for coder.

Maximum Velocity PaintBall (MVPB) is a reality based paintball mod for Unreal Tournament 2003. We have a large paintballer/gamer fan-base eagerly awaiting our release. We have the attention and support of most of the paintball community including; WORR Games, Kingman, Angel, Dye, and many other paintball manufacturers and news/event websites.

MVPB has been in developement since early 2003. Modeling, skinning, and mapping are all but complete. Our shortfall has been in the coding area. We have gone through three coders that have had to leave the team for various reasons. Our most current, and most successful, coder is leaving in two weeks to marine bootcamp training. This, again, leaves us without a coder.

The current MVPB staff is made up of very serious and talented individuals. Most of the current staff actively plays paintball. This has helped in MVPB creating very realistic maps, models, and animations.

We need an experienced coder to help MVPB complete is journey to release, and beyond. As far as paintball mods throughout the gaming community go, there is currently no equal to our quality. Although paintball experience would be great, it is not required.

We are a very friendly and excited group of developers ranging in ages from 13 to 40 ( I would be the 40 y/o geezer :/ ).

I'd love to help out witht the coding, but im just learning uscript so I dont know nearly enough to help, nor the time with paintball and school :(

I don't think we require a master coder, but one with a fair ammount of experience would be good.
Our code is around 60% to 70% complete (hard for me to really judge).

Would be a good project for a mid to high level UTScriptor. Probably wouldn't take very long, but again i'm just guessing from my very limited coding background.

Even if you are an slightly-above-entry-level UTScriptor please get in touch with me and let's talk.

We really need someone dedicated soon. Or at least before UT2k10 comes out...hehe.
