Hello!
This is a formal request for some Unreal Tournament coders, mappers and skinners for a mod called “Communist Aggression” the basic about is here (though it is a bit outdated as we decided on an engine change about 2 weeks ago) (http://dynamic6.gamespy.com/~com/about.php) the history can be found here… (http://dynamic6.gamespy.com/~com/history.php) If you have the vaguest interests in these ideas you are probably wondering “why help us?” The answer is a pretty simple one we are very dedicated to our mod it started as a Half-Life mod then Battlefield 1942 and now a Unreal Tournament 2004 mod which we plan to finish by the end of the year. Also I my self am an Eagle Scout which shows my dedication alone. Also we offer a great project that allows creativity for the entire team, no ones ideas are overruled by others. Our technology is to take place in the late 1950’s to 1970’s but don’t let that fool you! As with all major wars technology research is given more funding so new developments are always underway! Our Theaters of war will include but not limited to European urban combat, Asian Jungle warfare, Sea combat, as well as North American Campaigns. Our mod is based loosely off Red Alert and cold war antics but we have taken a creative license to our mod.
As I have said we have been at this for some time we have a lot of very nice models to show off, though with the new ut2004 engine we can have more polys so we will be updating these as well. These can be seen here (http://dynamic6.gamespy.com/~com/gallerycontentpage.html )
Our staff is very diverse, and we are not limiting how much help we get (our policy is the “more help can’t hurt” We do have coders, skinners and mappers but we think if we could get some more coders and skinners we could have a beta our shortly. (few months)

our policy is the “more help can’t hurt”It definately can, if your mod team becomes to big it becomes very dilute and hard to manage. Anyways, the renders look awesome at this point, although the tank needs a few more polygons in the curve areas. But none the less, good start!

Yea, with the ut2004 engine we are upin' the polys on weapons and vechicals so dont worry ;) Also when we get thousands of coders wanting to help us  THEN we'll worry about too much help, until then, I stand on our stament above  .

Sea combat, sounds interesting. Not a terribly common setting that offers some different action. I like. Nice models too. The theme is a little repetative (Vietnam, etc...) but if it's well done, and it looks like it will be, then that won't matter too much if at all.

Well, we aren't doin Veitnam, we are doing more of a WWIII sort of thing, if there are any Red Alert Mods out I haven't seen any. Anyway we are trying to be original with our content and we always like sugguestions so stop by! BTW thanks for your input!

Thank god someone got it right!

Every time we got more than four coders on the team, nothing would get done, and they spent more time cleaning up the overlaps than they did actually writing new code.

Well, we have TWO coders now, but one works alot. We mainly need Skinners, and pretty badly, I mean we can do the skins, but they wont be very good. Any suggestions on where to search for them? If so thanks in advance. Thanks for the feed back!

Slightly off-topic: CVS (http://www.cvshome.org) is your friend. :)

I just saw "Asian Jungle warfare" and the timespan-50s to 70s-and thought Vietnam since that's the current IT thing of the industry, as is vehicular gameplay, and that was one of the major events of that time and place. Now that I've had a chance to read the about page on the website I see that this is obviously NOT the case. The whole alternate history idea is a good one. Could provide interesting scenarios with compelling backstories. "What if the cold war had not been cold" is a big question and it will be interesting to see how you answer it.

Thanks for taking the time to read it! If you have any suggestions on maps, curtain vechicals you would like to see in the mod stop by our forums. Thanks again. :D
