View Full Version : Using gamepads

I've managed to build my level and play it successfully. The only problem I am having is when i try to use a gamepad to move forward back left and right and the mouse to turn around.

When I select enable joystick the mouse cursor begins to move by itself so when i go back to play my map the avatar just looks downwards and keeps spinning round.

I havent changed any of the controls.

Is there a way of solving this problem?

I think the type of joystick unreal expects is the stick type rather than a pad. What might be better to do, is to configure your pad as if it was a keyboard instead. Vito and the other UDN guys will have more indepth information however.

Can someone help me to set up my gamepad as a keyboard, as I have created a walking mat from a gamepad PCB and it is quite urgent that I sort out this problem.
