ok, I have searched the net a bit, but could not find what I'm looking for. And same with the forums.

I need to know who made music for all the Unreal Games, and links to their sites.

Alexander Brandon was in charge of the music for Unreal.

Here are some names I see in the music files for Unreal Tournament

Michiel van den Bos, 1998-1999 MCA
Alexander Brandon, 1998-1999 Straylight Productions, alex@straylight-productions.com, http://www.straylight-productions.com
Basehead, 1998-1999 Straylight Productions, http://www.straylight-productions.com
Necros, Five Musicians, 1996 necros/fm, necros@fm.org, http://www.fm.org
Peter Hajba, 1999 Skaven, skaven@remedy.fi, http://isis.yok.utu.fi/~skaven

Other interesting text strings found there:

GO MIKEY!
deal death in spades...
<zzt> (possibly a reference to Epic's old ZZT game?)
Money inspires!
-peace-

Also found an entire poem within the Razorback music file:
Enter the mutant traitor
Burning oh so bright
In this corrupted nature
I see no other light

- -

Addicted to radiation
Fueled by your pain
Aroused high by contamination
Soothed by acid rain

- -

Mother nature lied to me;
Betrayed on a killing spree
Mother nature expelled me;
What's the use now, that I'm free

Regardless of who makes it, looking at that intro video... the 2k4 music is kickass!

I remember one of the composers had his own website. Was a good website. But I cannot find it anymore. I guess it was Alexander Brandon, but I cant find his site. :(

The music from the intro video that was posted is an awesome remix of one of my favorite UT songs. :-)

Have you guys ever heard the UT Beta Menu Music? It is so dang awesome. I was surprised Epic did not use it for UT, and they used the one that is now. And now they are remaking it a remix for UT2004.

Would have been cool if they would use the UT Beta menu music for UT2004. That would have been way cool.

Got a link to it?

I probably would get in trouble for the link. If any admin wants it, I'll PM them, and they can probably give a sample.

Neat link to some of UT2K4's music.

I hope UT2K4's music is better than UT2K3's music. Not that there was anything bad bout UT2K3's, but it just wasn't memorable either. I seem to remember a lot of the tunes in the original UT, but very few from UT2K3.

You guys are forgetting Starsky's tracks for UT2k3/4. He did all the Level# peices. Which IMO were alot better than KR's stuff.

UT had some very memorable tunes, especially Mechanism Eight, Mission Landing, Organic, Phantom, and SuperFist. The only thing I find memorable from UT2k3 is the menu song. :p

Man, are you kidding? The UT2k3 menu music sucked. 2k3 had a few good tracks, but by and large I was very unimpressed. Hopefully 2k4 will be much better. For the most part, Unreal/UT1 music completely blows away UT2k3 music. I don't think it really has to do with the style they went for, it's just that Michiel Van den Bos and Alexander Brandon are freaking awesome. Very few games have music that can rival Unreal/UT.

The level13 music in UT2k3 (played in Oceanic) was great. Too bad I haven't heard it in any custom maps.

Some 2k3 tracks were too relaxing, like the one in Tokara. They didn't aid the gameplay.

The level tracks freaking pwn! But if you ask me, all of the music in 2k3 sucked except some of the KR stuff and most of the Leve# tracks. And btw, Level13 was used in CTF-Orbital2. :) And as for the relaxing bit... yeah its like listening to meditation music while robbing a bank.

I wish Jesper Kyd (http://www.jesperkyd.com/) was making the music for 2004.

Unreal1's music was the best IMO. Its untouchable. :D
Most games today can't stand up to it.

There is some good unreal music, especially Dusk, but Unreal had nothing on UT99's soundtrack.

More music was posted at KR's site.

IMO, Sulphur should be the Morpheus track. It sounds like it was based on the Matrix score.

The music sounds like equal parts techno and action to me, not as good as UT1's but WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYY better tahn 2k3!!!!

More of the classic music--not just the classic menu song--should be brought back.

Michiel also did the Deus Ex and Age Of Empires soundtracks.
