Master servers are down. Atari is "moving them," apparently.

well, i got it working by using the 'open' command from ut2003, nice of atari to be consistent with their console systems, anyway, it's all sorted now, and a kick arse game it is too!

Is it just me, or do these master servers appear to go down atleast 3 times a week?
And didn't they give the "moving them" excuse a month ago?
Really, Atari needs to cut the crap and get these things working. UT2k4 appears to have no problems at all while XMP works 70% of the time.

And comparing UT2004 gameplay to XMP it's nothing like it and is inferior.
I'd rather have U2XMP. Of course that's beside the fact that UT2004 is gold and shipping and U2XMP's developers are looking for work :\
Why is it that they think people want to play a rail gun fest? CTF is not really much fun because of the weapon loadout that is provided imho. It's just not very strategic when lpb "mad skillzzzz" can easily outbalance any skill at teaming for the flag run. UT2004 CTF and other games feels quite different and unbalanced (at least in the beta) than UT CTF did, and I played that for years and years.
Have they improved or balanced it at all since open beta?
