View Full Version : Texture placement is messed up in Ued

Ok, I made a model in maya and a simple 'test' texture in photoshop for the model. The texture fits perfectly over the UV's in maya and fits the model perfectly. However, when I use the texture in Unreal Editor, the texture is totally misplaced. I figure it is because the UV's aren't being exported into Unreal editor.

Has anyone had this problem? All I need is to have the textures aligned in UnrealED, and I'll be free sailing.

I followed the directions in the tutorial that they included w/ MayaPLE for exporting models into the game...here are some screens:

try flipping the image vertically and apply the flipped version in UEd. sometimes this fixes what look like screwed up texture placements, particularly with .tga files.

I had the same problem. Vertical flip workes great.
